Russ
is a tech wiz but what he does best, is generate ideas for new
Web-driven businesses. Dreaming up stuff for hours can be
both a blessing and a curse…but at least it keeps him out of
trouble.
Russ Sumida
is a veteran information technology specialist. He has
spent the last 16 years at DataHouse, Inc., one of the largest
e-business technology developers in the Pacific. Russ has
held various critical positions within DH’s family of companies,
his last as Vice-President of Business Development for
Nettricity, Inc., a web hosting and connectivity company.
You could say all this was excellent preparation for what he
wanted to do in the first place. In December 2001, Russ
decided to pursue his dream of founding The SportsKids Network.
This Web-based information hub for kids’ sports leagues across
the state is the first of its kind to offer stats, information
and articles to local team members, parents and coaches.
As
his personal work-in-progress evolves, Russ is also passionate
about positioning envisionIT as the rising star in the
Website creation arena. As he tells his partners, “If you
can design it, I can make it work.”
Russ continues to participate in weekly basketball games as he
awaits his phone call from the NBA. He has four children --
Amanda, Marissa, Trey Allen, and Ty Riley -- who are being groomed as
poster personalities for his SportsKids
website. |
